Georgia-Pacific's success has largely depended on the vitality and quality of life in the communities where we operate and where our employees live. We have no doubt that this critical link with our communities will continue to influence our business success.
Last year, Georgia-Pacific's Palatka Pulp and Paper Operations and its employees contributed more than $150,000 to Putnam and surrounding counties in community programs. In addition to financial contributions, hundreds of GP Palatka employees committed time and attention to improving our community through countless service organizations.
Georgia-Pacific Palatka Operations employees are deacons of the church, athletic coaches, leaders of civic organizations, scout masters, community service leaders, elected officials, mentors in the school system, educational advisors and serve on numerous executive boards for charitable organizations.
