The Business of Recycling
Recycling turns materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable resources.
At Georgia-Pacific, recycling takes many different forms:
- Recovered paper becomes tissue, towels, napkins, office paper, corrugated boxes
and the face paper for some of the
company’s gypsum drywall.
- We recycle water in many of our manufacturing processes.
- Plants, mills and offices collect used batteries, light bulbs, plastic, aluminum
cans and other materials that can be
turned into valuable new products.
GP believes in recycling resources where it makes social, environmental and economic sense.
