ATLANTA, Georgia. October 20, 1999 -- The industrial resins group of Georgia-Pacific Resins, Inc. (GPRI) will introduce its unique modifier for waterborne alkyds at the International Coatings Exposition in Dallas, Texas. The new ARYLZENE waterborne resin offers the advantage of low VOC but without the associated problems of decreased performance. Benefits include improved sag resistance, decreased yellowing, and significantly improved corrosion resistance.
Rich Stregowski, market manager - protective coating resins, stated that the company's ARYLZENE product line continues to be enhanced and that, in the future, ARYLZENE products will address other coating technologies. "We are committed to developing resins for the coatings industry that not only address changing regulatory issues, but also improve performance," said Stregowski.
Technical and sales personnel will be on hand at the exhibiting company's booth (number 943) to discuss the ARYLZENE waterborne resins.
GPRI entered the protective coatings business via its 1992 acquisition of Union Carbide's phenolic coating resins product line and technology. GPRI's steadfast commitment to research and development has resulted in improvements and innovative additions to its continually expanding coating resins product line.
